Days 1-3

  • Curated dinners with South African fund managers, philanthropists, and social entrepreneurs from the TBN Network.

  • Privately guided touring along the Eastern Cape.

  • Site visits to social enterprises.

Days 4-8

  • Spot Africa's Big 5 and more on safari at a private reserve in the Addo conservation region.

  • Site visits to local social enterprises including the Kuzuko Foundation.

  • 2 days of workshops and sessions led by experts advisors to craft your family’s philanthropic and investment strategy.

  • This experience is designed for high-level decision makers leading businesses and family offices in Central America. Generally speaking, this Impact Discovery Trip is for if:

    • You connect deeply to enterprise solutions to poverty and are willing to champion the initiative within your family and business contexts.

    • You are open to learning new tools, investment mechanisms, and approaches that challenge traditional philanthropy and investment paradigms.

    • You are action oriented with sufficient buy-in and operational capacity to apply learnings to your own initiatives upon returning home.

    To ensure the best experience, this experience is not open to service providers, fund managers, consultants, or kids below 15 at this time.

  • Yes. We would recommend that a spouse or family member join as an active member of the trip. 

    In order to ensure the best group experience, everyone that attends must be a fully paid and active participant in the trip, including all workshops, site visits and meetings. We are unable to host spouses or family who want to tag along for tourism purposes.

  • This trip will be jointly led by Dr. Kim Tan, Renée Ramirez and Dr. Mónica de Zelaya key leaders of the TBN Americas and Francisco Marroquín University partnership.

  • Yes. We would recommend beginning the visa process in early January as it takes a minimum of 30 days.

    Our team is collaborating with the South African Consulate in Guatemala City to streamline the process and provide the necessary invitation letters.

  • This cost includes:

    • Meet & greet services upon arrival in Cape Town

    • 5-Star accommodation in Cape Town and Kuzuko Lodge

    • Transfers and transport within South Africa 

    • Touring in Cape Town with a private guide & vehicle; lunch is included on all tours
